Welcome...

to our organically-managed farm (23 ha) located within the Suwalki Landscape Park. Our farm is in the small scattered village of Bachanowo, 1.5 km south of Lake Hancza on the northeastern side of the Czarna Hancza river valley.

We have a two-story holiday house to rent to groups of up to 6 persons (with children, up to 8 persons).
The house is for year-round use and completely equipped.

On the ground floor is:

  • a large room with two beds and completely equipped kitchen (elec. stove with oven and a wood-fired tile stove, large dining table for up to 10 persons and a small stereo (CD, radio, aux).
  • terrace with beautiful view over our ponds, hilly pastures, fields, trees, animals and often fantastic sunsets.
  • corridor with wardrobe, wash-basin and refrigerator.
  • bathroom with shower, WC and wash-basin.

The upper floor is a large room under the roof with 4 to 6 sleeping places.

We produce different cheeses (from cow and goat's milk) and yogurt. Beside these milk products our guests can also buy other food items from our organic cultivation. Whole meals can also be ordered from us on request.

Our place is very child-friendly, with a naturally-kept yard and playground, exciting spots to walk to, natural swimming pool, our animals (cows, goats, chickens, dogs, cats and guinea pigs) and much more besides.

We are within the Suwalki Landscape Park, the first (since 1976) and one of the most beautiful and varied nature reserves in Poland, a hilly area with many small but deep lakes (Lake Hancza at 108.5 m is the deepest lake in Poland) and the typical stones and scattered boulders from the last Ice Age, particularly popular with nature lovers, hikers and cyclists (marked hiking and bike routes), divers or just anybody who wants to relax and recover from civilisation.

Fairly near are the Wigry National Park (about 30 km) with great canoe tours, and the Puszcza Romińska (Rominski Forest, the earlier "Rominter Heath"), about 15 km away. In Suwalki (23 km away) are regularly offered well-organised day trips to the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
